Book arrived in good condition as mentioned by seller. Book was new as described.

ABt the book: Good consolidated one to carry around in lab coat. Heard its quite useful in medical residency.

Summary: "Online version is impossible to download"

To download the online version you first have to register with Skyscape for their marketing purposes, and then add their program to your device -- mine is an iPhone. You then run their program on your iPhone and download the WM from there. The problem is that the program on the iPhone crashes every time I try to enter my email (user name) - never even get to enter my password so have never actually used the program, which makes it impossible to download the mobile copy of the Washington Manual I THOUGHT I had purchased. Still have the paper copy, though, but that's not what I paid for. DO NOT BUY the Washington Manual for its online version until Skyscape posts a revision higher than 1.16.19, which is where the problem is. Even then, test Skyscape out on your device before you buy the Manual to be sure it works, if the online version is important to you.

Summary: "my review"

I am not sure if I am reviewing the shipper or the book but the packaging by the seller was horrible. All I got in mail was an empty envelope ripped open and no book inside. Not only did the seller do a bad job packing the book, the receiving post office did a bad job accepting a package that was not properly packed.

The book itself, Washington Manual of Medical Therapeutics, is great. It is very helpful with clinical rotations for medical students.

Summary: "Best pocket book for IM"

Its a great read and even though not a 'pocket book', its worth shoving it into your coat pocket and carrying it around on the wards for a quick reference/read/review. This is a great back up to UpToDate. Every resident, specially those involved with primary care, in any capacity, should have this book.
